Its goal is to enhance the learning, social and spatial access of students with disabilities and\/or special educational needs (SEN) at the University of Thessaly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students, as well as lecturers, register on the ACCESS electronic platform in order to declare their needs, to be informed and\/or to receive support on issues of access to the University. For example, students can register on ACCESS in order to inform the service about obstacles they face, to request support during classes or to request adjustments to the examination process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When deaf students require support, fellow students can take on the role of volunteers, with the aim of enhancing their access to and participation in university life. More specifically, student volunteers, in collaboration with faculty members, can contribute to the movement of deaf students around the University of Thrace, the completion of applications, the attendance of courses, the conversion of files into accessible formats, as well as the preparation for exams.
