Professor at the Department of Rural Development, Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH), in the field of Agricultural Policy. My studies include a BA in Agricultural Economics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), a MA in International Agricultural and Food Marketing from Newcastle upon Tyne University, and a PhD in Agricultural Economics from AUTH. My research interests focus on issues of agricultural policy, rural development, international trade, agri-food business management and export-import management. with published work in prestigious international journals such as: Agribusiness an International Journal, Fisheries Research, Agronomy for Sustainable Development, Land Use Policy, New Medit, Journal of Cleaner Production, Energy Policy, Agricultural Systems, European Planning Studies and Annals of Operational Research.
In addition, I have participated, as a researcher, in international and domestic research programs while I have participated in a significant number of international conferences. I teach the courses (undergraduate level) International Trade in Agricultural Products, Rural Economic Development – Theory and Policy, Agricultural Policy and Economics of European Integration, while at the postgraduate level the courses International Trade and Policy, and Business Research Methods.
